The 7th Annual Day of SMJVs CKSV Institute of Management was celebrated with grandeur on 16th March 2017 (Thursday), at C.C. Mehta Auditorium, M S University, Vadodara. The celebrations started with lamp-lighting and prayer to the almighty followed by felicitation of the dignitaries.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Prof. Dr.M.N. Patel, Vice Chancellor, Gujarat University (Chief Guest);  Shri Bipinbhai Ramani, MD, Base Metal Chemicals (Guest of Honor); Dr. Kamal Taori, IAS (Retd.) Chairman, Rural Business Hub Foundation, India-Germany (Guest of Honor); Dr Rajesh Khajuria, Director, SMJV’s CKSVIM; Shri Bipinbhai Shah, Shri Nileshbhai Shah, & Shri Bhupendrabhai Makati, Pioneer Members, Local Management Committee, SMJV, Vadodara.

The welcome address was proposed by Shri Nileshbhai Shah, Pioneer LMC Member, CKSVIM.

The 7th Volume Issue I of the SANKALPA: Journal of Management and Research was released by all the dignitaries present on the dias.

Leadership and Honor Awards for the year 2017:

The Leadership and Honor Awards were given to industry/ academic leaders for their exemplary contributions in various fields. The Awards were announced by Dr. Rajesh Khajuria.

The Leadership Awards were felicitated to:  

1) Mr. S.K. Raijada, President-Corporate HR and Group IR, Piramal Glass Limited to recognize outstanding contribution to Training and Skill Development of MBA students through  Industry – Academia Partnership.

2) Mr. Harendra Patel, Joint President, Human Resource, Hindalco Industries Ltd, Aditya Birla Group to recognize outstanding contribution to Industry Visits, Training and Skill Development of MBA students through  Industry – Academia Partnership.

3) Mr Deepak Prasad, Head-HR, Reliance Industries Limited, Vadodara Manufacturing Division to recognize outstanding contribution to Industry Visits, Training and Skill Development of MBA students through  Industry – Academia Partnership.

4) Mr. Hemant Vadalia, Sr. Vice President - Vadodara Chamber of Commerce & Industry to recognize outstanding contribution of VCCI to Industry Seminars and Skill Development through Industry – Academia Partnership.

5) Mr. Janak Sheth, Sr. Vice President - Federation of Gujarat Industries (FGI) to recognize outstanding contribution of FGI to Industry Seminars and Skill Development through Industry – Academia Partnership.

6) Prof. Dr. M.N. Parmar Chairman, Indian Society for Training & Development, Vadodara Chapter to recognize outstanding contribution of ISTD to Industry Seminars and Skill Development through Industry – Academia Partnership.

7) Shri Rajubhai Shah CEO, Rishabh Software, Vadodara to recognize outstanding contribution to development  and export of software services.

 

The Honor Awards were felicitated to:  

1) Mr. Vijay Thakkar, Director, Blackstone Moregate Ltd for consistently recruiting our MBA students.

2) Mr. Kaushal Pujara, Regional Manager - HR ICICI Securities Ltd for consistently recruiting our MBA students.

3) Mr. Ankit Gandhi, Chief Manager - HR ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Co. Ltd for consistently recruiting our MBA students.

The Alumni Awards were felicitated to:

1) Alumni of the Year Award: Sunil Dadlani, MBA  (Batch 6: 2014 - 2016) Senior Relationship Manager, ICICI Securities Ltd, Vadodara for actively engaging as CKSVIM Alumni in training & placement of our MBA students.

2) Alumni of the Year Award: Vishal Vaghani, MBA (Batch 2: 2010 - 2012) Business Development Manager, Patco Foods Pvt. Ltd., Surat for actively engaging as CKSVIM Alumni for Summer Training of MBA students.

3) Alumni of the Year Award: Insiya Pathariya, MBA (Batch 6: 2014 - 2016) Export Executive, Rubexco Pvt. Ltd, Vadodara for actively engaging as CKSVIM Alumni for Final Placement of MBA students.

4) Start-up Award: Pankti Shah, MBA (Batch 1 : 2009 - 2011) Crazy Wanderer, Vadodara  to recognize your entrepreneurial talent and Startup.

5) Start-up Award:  Manisha Parmar, MBA (Batch 6: 2014 - 2016) KIDS' WORLD  A PLAY SCHOOL, BHARUCH  to recognize your entrepreneurial talent and Startup.

6) Family Business Award: Paras Shah, MBA (Batch 3: 2011 - 2013) Devang U Shah Financial Services, Vadodara  to recognize your contribution in starting new investment services in family business.

7) Family Business Award: Umang Thakkar, MBA (Batch 6: 2014 - 2016) Clingtech Polymers, Vadodara  to recognize your innovative contribution to family business.

Vote of thanks was proposed by Shri Bipinbhai Shah, Pioneer LMC Member, CKSVIM.

To encourage and recognize the outstanding achievements and efforts in academic and extracurricular activities, the students were awarded with Gold Medal, Trophies and Certificates with the able hands of all the dignitaries present.

1) Student of the year award was honored to Dhrumil Modi, Batch VII.

2) SMJV's sponsored Dr. Dipchandbhai Gardi Gold Medal was honored to Sonia Sachdev, Batch VI for been Topper in Academics and  International Business Management specialization.

3)  5 Gold Medals for academic toppers from Batch VI  in each specialization were sponsored by Dr. Satendra Kumar and Dr. Rekha Shrivastava. The following students were honored the medals:

  • Deepa Raimalani - Marketing
  • Geeta Suhanda -  Human Resource
  • Vipul Adalja - Rural & Agri Business
  • Jinali Shah - Finance
  • Vinita Solanki - Information Systems Management

Thereafter, the stage was dazzled by the plethora of outstanding performances by the students of CKSVIM. The parents and guest were dazed by experiencing the talent of students of CKSVIM. The students evinced their endowments in versatile manner.

The students’ performance’s included Ganesh Vandana, dances on bollywood songs, skit on social issues like women education. The stage was set on fire through an amazing Fashion Show.



Students showcased another facet by beautifully depicting the campus life, USPs of CKSVIM and their attachment with the college through two audio-visual documentaries, which was cherished by all present.

To conclude, it was one of those memorable moments which one cherishes throughout the life: these were the feelings of all the students, parents, guests, faculty and staff members.
