SMJV's CKSVIM organized a inspirational talk for the MBA aspirants, specially for the engineering background students on 7th June 2014, named as “MBA as a career for Engineers and Graduates”. This talk was an effort to clear the doubts and queries of graduates from the different fields about Masters of Business Administration as a career option. The key agenda of the talk was to address the different features about management education.

The talk began with the lamp lighting, followed by prayer. Dr. Rajesh Khajuria , Director, CKSVIM, welcomed the Guest on-off the dais. He enlightened the aspirants about the future benefits of MBA program. He summarized that hardwork, thinking out-of-the box and a firm determination are the keys to overall success in terms of name, fame and position. He also informed about the new specializations, under the GTU's new global MBA program which provide large number of choices .

The invited expert Prof. M.R.Patel, Project Consultant, IIT Gandhinagar and ex-principal, Government Engineering College, Ahmedabad explained the growing demand of management education in all kind of decision making activities. He also advised the audience to be cautious in choosing the right management institute for holistic skills and personality development. He opined that in the era of cut throat competition, knowledge is most important key to success and MBA program ensures this edge.

Sh. Nileshbhai Shah, Local Management Committee member, explained the various skills required by a manager at the work place and expressed the opinion that MBA as a qualification has the ability to inculcate such skills to be a successful manager. Quoting the examples of Chanakya, Shri Nileshbhai emphasized that management education is a part of human civilization and is applied to each and every activity of human being.

Mr. Manish Joshi, Visiting Faculty & IT expert advised the aspirants to “THINK BIG & DIFFERENTLY” and to always look for new learning, which is a very important component during the MBA. He also advised to develop out-of-the box thinking and entrepreneurial spirit. MBA program highly emphasizes on self learning , continuous discussion, brain storming exercises and live projects to sharpen the skills.

The Institutional overview was given by Ms. Ranjita Banerjee, Asst. Prof. CKSVIM, Academic overview was given by Dr. Kunjal Sinha, Associate Professor, CKSVIM, overview of the EETP(Employment Enhancement Training Program ) was given by Mrs. Preeti Singhal, Asst. Prof. CKSVIM, and Placement overview was given by Mr. Ankit Shah, Asst. Professor & TPO , CKSVIM.

The program was concluded with a round of questions and answers. The program was very fruitful and many doubts and queries were resolved by the panel of experts and we hope that it would be beneficial for the participants for the right selection of the program and the Institute.
