A Visit of TAFE NSW Australian Delegates from Educational & Training Organizations @ CKSVIM on 13th November 2014.

SMJV’s CKSVIM organized a visit of Researchers and Trainers from educational and training organizations from Australia delegated by Technical and Further Education Commission (TAFE) NSW (www.tafensw.edu.au)with the help of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) Vadodara Zonal Office, coordinated by Ms. Stuti Ahluwalia, CII Young India Executive.

The delegation was led by Larry Davies, Australian Council for Private Education and Training (ACPET) Executive Officer of Western Australia; Asheley Jones, Australian Computer Society (ACS); Love Handa, Business Manager & Sharwari Rajurkar, CRICOS Coordinator of The Malka Group (TMG); Jinendra Khara, Business Development Manager, Australian Trade Commission, Ahmedabad; Pamela Trantalles, Director, Academy of Global Business Training;The Imperial College of Australia; MRWED Training and Assessment, Kordon Training Management Systems PTY Ltd.

Mr. Jinendra Khara requested Dr. Rajesh Khajuria, Director to guide the team of researchers and trainers for exploring the training and collaboration needs in India.

The delegates had an interactive session with Dr. Khajuria and his team of faculty members and a few MBA students.

The meet started with a warm welcome given by Dr. Khajuria and the Team CKSVIM to the Australian delegates, which was followed by brief introduction of every member present, thus breaking the ice.

Mr. Ankit Shah, Training and Placement Officer gave a brief presentation of CKSVIM, in which he highlighted about the achievements, activities and collaborations with industry and academic institutions.

Dr. Khajuria, highlighted about the Gujarat Technological University's (GTU) Global MBA Program and appreciated the efforts of Dr. Akshai Aggarwal, Honorable Vice Chancellor of GTU in designing the Global MBA Program and International Collaborations.

Dr. Khajuria asked the delegates about the purpose of their visit to India and what they are looking forward to gain from this visit.

The delegates expressed their wish to explore the training scenario in India and collaborate with Indian institutes for online education; IT education and accreditation; training the trainers and student exchange programs.

Dr. Khajuria discussed with them the prospects of Indian market and how they can proceed to the different kinds of collaborations with Indian institutes with the help of GTU, other colleges and industry associations like ISTD, VCCI, BMA, AIMS and SEAA.

About the TAFE NSW Delegates:-

Mr Larry Davies (ACPET Executive Officer of Western Australia) - Larry’s introduction to the employment and training sector was in the early 1980s in the State Public Service. For seven years he was the Director of Industrial Training in charge of all apprentices and trainees in WA. After leaving the public service he operated as a consultant in the training area and also purchased three training colleges.
