Dear Students, Faculties, Staff, University, Government PR and Global Partners in Progress:

Greetings!

2018 has begun with great hopes and opportunities for each one of you....

On 1.1.2009 when I joined The promoting Shri Mahavir Jain Vidyalaya Trust of Mumbai as the Founding Director of CKSVIM Business School newly built in Vadodara City, Gujarat State, India, a few could have realized the shape of things to come with prosperity brought by our collective, singularly directed, team-work that put CKSVIM as the first 'MBA Institute' from India on the World Map of 60 countries, where ACBSP, USA Accredited 1200 Business Schools (1,000 Accredited) by this specialised Global Accreditation Council over past 30 years. CKSVIM is also ISO 9001:2015 Certified Institute, the only one in Gujarat State.

We started the 1st batch of two-year MBA with just 60 students in July 2009, approved by AICTE, MHRD, Government of India, and affiliated to Gujarat Technological University (GTU) of Government of Gujarat. Now we have 240 students doing Full-time MBA, which we are increasing to 300 students from July 2018 and 360 students from July 2019, subject to approval from AICTE.

In India, we function in a highly (over) regulated education environment, where every important decision is made by the Government: Number of Students, Tuition Fees, Admissions, Reservation for Backward Class, Courses, Syllabus, Examination, Assessment, Results and Degree granting authority; so far as Private, Non-Government Colleges and Institutions are concerned.

Unfortunately, over-regulation has led to creating a dichotomy in Indian Education system: On one hand, India has a large number of small colleges and universities, both in terms of sizes of Campus and number of Students, faculties and staff; and on the oth hand, the Quality of education has suffered due to crippling of resource generating capacity. Currently India has about 850 universities (75% are private), catering to 36,000 Colleges (80% private), out of which 11,000 Colleges and Institutions are under Technical Education (Engineering, Business Management, Computer Application, Pharmacy, Hotel & Catering Technology, 85% of which are private). This Technical Education sector includes 3,000 Business Schools offering MBA, Imdepend PGDM, and some also MAM programs. Typically, Undergraduate Programs are governed by not AICTE but regionally located Government Universities in each State, creating further gaps between Bachelors and Masters Programs.

Under such 'breathlessness' circumstances, CKSVIM has achieved 100% goals in Admissions, 90% in final examinations, 90% students securing Jobs by send of MBA and 10% becoming Entrepreneurs or joining Family Business (so 100% employment) thanks to our network of business and industries, and hard work by all our stakeholders, students, faculties, staff, Trust / LMC members, Trainer companies and Recruiters, consistently for 8 out of 9 years. Now we are looking at offering online and blended education and increase the reach and outcome through short term Certificate Programs for Skill Development. A GST (Goods & Services Tax) Certificate Program is being offered through Bharuch District Management Association (BDMA), in the manufacturing belt of Bharuch, South Gujarat.

Our foreign collaborators include reputed, government and private universities in The USA, Canada, Poland, Germany, Slovenia, Etc. We have signed and utilised several MOUs, most importantly, with Intrnational Trade Centre (ITC), WTO, UNCTAD, Geneva, Switzerland to teach special Certified course on "WTO and its Impact on Business & Industry". Our Business &  Industry Network includes 200 companies and leading Chamber of Commerce (VCCI), FGI, CII, CII-Yi! and many more.

As an ACBSP Chair for Region 10 (South Asia's 17 countries), Mentor and Evaluator for Global Accreditation, I have had the opportunities to visit and collaborate with many reputed and large universities and Business Schools in The USA, Europe, India, Vietnam, and Saudi Arabia; pending visits to Bangladesh and Afghanistan, and invitations from Canadian, South American and African Universities.

I believe, The world would be a better place to live, work and enjoy only by providing opportunities for Quality Education to our Young Population (65% in India, 50% in the world), and that's what i / we are trying to do with philanthropists and educationists.

May we all live long to create Smiles through enabling people via Quality Education...

Yours forever!
