Industrial Visit

An industrial visit to Transpek Industry was organized by SMJV’s C. K. Shah Vijapurwala Institute of Management for POM, HR, IB and IT students of batch-10, third semester under the guidance of Dr. Kerav Pandya, on 20th August, 2019.

An Industrial visit to BANSAL Supermarket, a leader in the Organized retail industry was organized by C.K. SHAH VIJAPURWALA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT for MBA second year students on 30th September 2019(Monday). Students of MBA Batch 10, who have opted for sectoral elective, Retailing and Franchising (R & F) and Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM) were selected for the visit. Dr. Preeti Singhal, Asst. Prof. CKSVIM arranged for the visit, with the help and recommendation of Ms. Kalindi Hire, a proud alumnus of CKSVIM Batch 7, who is working with BANSAL Supermarket as Department Manager.

An Industrial visit to MATRIX COMSEC, an Innovator in Telecom and Security Solutions was organized by C.K. SHAH VIJAPURWALA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT for MBA second year students on 4th September 2019. Fifty students of MBA Batch 10, were selected for the visit on the basis of their attendance and regularity in the class. Two faculties of CKSVIM, Dr. Preeti Singhal and Dr. Hetal Thakar accompanied the students for the Industrial visit to understand the processes at the manufacturing unit.

30 students of MBA semester 4 under the guidance of Mr. Gaurang Badheka, Assistant Professor (Finance) and Coordinator, Centre for Financial Services got the opportunity to visit Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), National Stock Exchange (NSE), Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) during an educational visit to Mumbai on 4 – 6 March 2019. The prime objective of this educational visit was to sensitize the students about the functioning of such leading financial institutions and regulators.

An industrial visit was organized by C. K. Shah Vijapurwala Institute of Management on 15th February 2018 at Transpek industries. The visit was planned for the students of Sem- 4, accompanied by the Faculty-coordinator Dr. Kerav Pandya.

On 30th September 2017 Saturday, Students of CKSVIM batch-08 visited Swiss Pack Pvt. Ltd. situated at Dabhasa, Padra-Jambusar Highway.

The Industrial trip was organised by Prof. Ramesh Mehta specially for the students who has opted for the NEIM (New Enterprise & Innovation Management) elective subject for 3rd semester students. Swiss Pac India is one of the leading suppliers and exporters of packaging solutions like standup zipper pouches, plastic bags, gusseted bags, laminated rolls, Kraft paper bags, bottom bags, laminated pouches, etc.by using premium quality basic material.

Management is all about practical implications of the theoretical concepts. In lieu of this, students are required to have Industrial Visits besides their classes in order to have a thorough understanding of the Industrial Modus – operandi (way of doing something).

With this objective in mind, a one – day Industrial Visit was organized by C. K Shah Vijapurwala Institute of Management on 12th January, 2017 to ‘Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverage Private Limited’ plant in Goblej, Ahmedabad.

On 2nd May, 2017, began the most awaited industrial tour of the year to ‘Adani Group of Industries’, Mundra, Kutch. The tour was very well planned & organized by our institute in association with the Adani Group as a part of ‘Project Udaan’. Faculty Coordinators who accompanied us through the visit were Mr. Prakash Patel, Assistant Professor, C.K.S.V.I.M., Ms. Reshma Mulye and Ms. Anjali Bhadsavle, Admin Department, C.K.S.V.I.M.

The students of CKSVIM got an opportunity to visit one of India’s largest Tooth Brush manufacturing companies - Jewel Consumer Care Pvt. Ltd. on Saturday 6th may 2017 organized by CII Yi.

Formerly known as Jewel Brushes Pvt. Ltd., it was founded in 1993 by Mr. Amit Goradia and Mrs. Geeta Goradia.

On 13th January 2017 batch VII students visited Transpek Industries. "Transpek Industry Limited was set up in 1965 initially for manufacturing Transparent Acrylic Sheets. There lies the origin of the word Transpek. Since then the Company has grown to become one of the leading manufacturers and exporters of a range of chemicals servicing the requirements of customers from a diverse range of industries - Textiles, Pharmaceuticals, Agrochemicals, Polymers, etc. Since inception, Transpek has evolved as a First Time Manufacturer of several products in India and also pioneered the development of the market for the same"

Reading a book about management isn't going to make you a good manager any more than a book about guitar will make you a good guitarist, but it can get you thinking about the most important concepts. In concern of this, students are required to have Industrial Visits besides their classes in order to have a thorough understanding of the corporate culture, operations and Management.

With this objective in mind, a one – day Industrial Visit was organized by C. K Shah Vijapurwala Institute of Management on 19th January, 2017 to ‘Shaily Engineering Plastics Limited’ plant in Rania, Vadodara.

An industrial visit was arranged by CK shah Vijapurwala institute of management for the students of Batch - 8 at Balaji Wafers and Jyoit CNC Automation Ltd. manufacturing companies.

The visit was undertaken keeping in mind the importance of practical implication of concepts studied theoretically.

The students were divided in two batches each leaded by one of the faculty members Mr Gaurang Bhadeka sir and Mr Prakash Patel sir respectively. Then both the batches visited the companies on 12th and 13th of January respectively at Rajkot.
